I began to weave at the age of 8 years old. In the 50's, those were very difficult times especially living in a community in Chiapas. However, some time later it was clear to me that in order to survive I had to do more things. I began to look for new places to sell. In my career, my work has been recognized by various cultural institutions. Currently, I am still working at the age of 73 years old. I start early at 5am. I wake up or sometimes earlier, and I like to weave. It was the trade I learned and I have dedicated my life to this work. Each piece is unique, with history that our ancestors told us. Very few people know about it anymore. I try to preserve the originality of the pieces.
