Grandes Maestros - Marina Martinez Pedro
Following the tradition of her hometown and the same tradition her parents had continued, Marina paints detailed amate paper pictures with very well-defined and finely lined genre scenes. Her hometown has been dedicated for several decades to painting amate paper, brought from San Pablito, Pahuatlán, Puebla.
His parents instilled in him a love for the craft, and he understood that it was also a means of subsistence. Drawing was easy for him. She has her own style, with representative themes that include traditional festivities, weddings, and dances, such as the rabbit dance and the chinelos dance, among others. Marina paints her pieces in color and black, always with great precision in what she represents, including themes that involve day and night.
She participates in competitions, striving to present perfect works, and has won several national competitions.
