La Cano
Cano Jewelry was founded in 1987 by Guillermo's son, Luis Alberto Cano, a trained goldsmith of the prestigious Gold Schmiede Schule in Pforzheim, Germany. He is also a member of the fourth-generation family that continued using these same old techniques and evolved the jewelry designs over time, bringing those timeless pieces and the pre-Columbian work to current trends. Today, the pieces still maintain the spirit of the pre-Columbian artisan for whom working gold was a means to access the divinity and the supernatural. Each resulting piece is made of brass with a 24K gold bath. Cano Jewelry continues to be led by Luis Alberto Cano and, more recently, by his son, Eduardo Cano, a member of the fifth generation and great-grandson of Nemesio Cano.
