Since I was a child, one of the teachings that the women of my family passed down to me was to weave on the backstrap loom to be able to wear the traditional clothing of our people. Over time, I learned and improved at making them but selling them outside my town is very expensive and we are always involved in conflicts that leave us incommunicado. Sometimes within the village, there are people who ask me for pieces that are not paid as it should be with a fair price but as I must have an income is the reason why I sell it.
