



Children's Dining Room Arpillera
A colorful *arpillera* (textile picture) titled "Comedor Infantil" (Children's Soup Kitchen) that—using fabric scraps, embroidery, great creativity, and skill—depicts the community-run soup kitchens established in neighborhoods during Chile's years of political and economic crisis.
Each *arpillera* is unique in its composition and conveys a message of social critique through the distinct perspective of its creators, who have been preserving this craft for over 50 years and were recognized as "Living Human Treasures" in 2012.
