Artisan Story

We are five women and unlike many girls, our games consisted of playing with the backstrap loom while we were given small tasks. So when we perfected our weaving, we started making larger pieces. A few years ago, my pieces won a prize for my technique, so I began to be invited to exhibitions that helped me get myself known. There are some interested customers in my crafts, but shipping costs are very high, which has deterred the buyers. Now that I am selling with Just, I receive the labels, so I no longer need to worry about the shipping costs. This is much better as it is difficult for me to go out of my community to sell in the cities because my community has many internal conflicts that limit us from going out.
