Wool Wall Decor in Black, Camel, Beige and Bone

Sale price$715.00

Hand-woven. Made of 100% sheep wool.
To make the fabric, a resistant yarn is made with cotton. The amount of yarn for warping depends on the width of the fabric to be woven. Skeins of a maximum of one kilo are selected so that the dyeing is uniform and easier to handle. The dyeing is done by hand with a wood stove on a gas stove. We use plants and natural dyes (alum, iron oxide, copper sulfate, among others). We elaborate or recreate the ancestral designs and select the colors. We start weaving on the loom using different weaving techniques such as flat weaving and weaving with relief or texture.

Creator Story

We are a Home Deco brand with a Peruvian heart. We work in collaboration with different artisans in Ayacucho, Cusco, Huancavelica and Loreto. We are convinced that the value of our products lies in our immense cultural heritage, as well as in their design. We seek to preserve the enormous artisan legacy and revalue our ancestral techniques through each of our products. In a consumerist world, we feel fortunate to be able to rescue the true value and meaning of things by raising awareness about the importance of production processes, as well as the empowerment of small businesses and our talented artisans. We focus on choosing quality products, with sustainable and environmentally friendly fibers to achieve a more sustainable and inclusive industry.
