The silver Sekil earrings reinterpret a traditional Mapuche jewel — the sekil, originally a pectoral ornament rich in symbolism — in a current version inspired by this powerful cultural icon, these earrings connect spirituality, femininity and territory.
The sekil represented the link between the body, nature and the Mapuche cosmos. It incorporated shapes of metal plates, crosses and hanging elements that evoked protection and communal identity
Mapuche jewelry, especially the sekil and the trapelakucha, merge aesthetics and meaning, articulating earthly and heavenly worlds in every detail.
