The Orinoco pink dolphin is the largest freshwater dolphin in existence. This subspecies of pink dolphin is found mainly in the Orinoco River basin and its tributaries, and the indigenous Curripacos call it Aamana. They are characterized by their pink color, which they acquire over the years, since at birth they are grayish. The Aamana earrings show the union of the great rivers that make up the Inírida river star where these dolphins enjoy a rich diet due to the large concentrations of fish at its confluence.
