Guainía, which in the indigenous language means “land of many waters”, is a department favored by water. It is crossed in all directions by different bodies of water that are like veins that run through the entire territory. Its rivers carry life thanks to the large amount of nutrients that their waters carry, where fauna and flora can survive. The Úuni candonga bears the name that in the Curripaco language means water.
