Riachuelo, arroyo, or as it is known in the jungle areas, “caños”. They are rivers of lesser length and width that usually flow into rivers with greater flow. In the Guainía, the caños are of great importance since their calm waters invite locals and tourists to dive into them to enjoy a refreshing bath. The best known are: Caño San Joaquín, Caño Vitina, Caño Matraca, among others. The Uripau necklace is named after this important geographical feature.
