My parents passed away when I was very young. I grew up and learned the backstrap loom thanks to my grandmother who taught me. Since I grew up with my grandparents, I learned about crafts from a very young age. I had to work more on crafts because I got married very young and my husband died of diabetes so I was left in charge of my children and my house, and that's how my five children got ahead.
