I could only study elementary school because I didn't have enough money to continue. Since my grandmother and mother used to weave on the backstrap loom at home, they taught me that I could get better and make better quality pieces to sell and help with the expenses at home since my parents separated and I had to help my mother take care of my siblings. Today I make pieces to order, and my sister helps me to contact more customers or designers. Sales were more constant before the pandemic, but when that happened, sales disappeared because tourism did not come, and our income disappeared, and today I am still struggling to get back on my feet.
