Inírida is the capital of the department of Guainía, which in the Puinave language means “little mirror of the sun.” Many legends speak of a princess of great beauty with this name, a lover of the Mavecure hills, and who, after many misfortunes, was helped by nature to become the Inírida flower. A rare flower that, after drying, can last for many years, just as beautiful. The Inírida necklace tells the story of this princess.
