I started this great work more than 15 years ago thanks to the teachings of my mother-in-law. She is a craftswoman of yesteryear and her knowledge and love of her work helped me to start my own story as a woman. It also helped me to begin my own story as an indigenous woman and and entrepreneur. Arriving in the afternoon, I calculate my time to prepare the food since my daughters and my husband arrive home between 2:30 or 3:00 in the afternoon. We eat, which takes us about an hour. When we finish, we pick up the dishes and my girls help me to wash them and see what else will be done in the kitchen. Meanwhile, I continue with my sewing or spinning new garments for later weaving them. In the evening, I leave what I am doing to see the animals and put them in the corral. My routine is pretty much the same every day except for Saturday when we spend more time on spinning, sewing and knitting. We are improving our designs and innovating more and more, without leaving behind our tradition and what makes us an original community, distinguishing us from the other magical towns in my state.
