6) Things to do before using traditional earthenware products -
Submerged pitcher and glass in water for 3 hours and after that kept them out. When they dried up they are ready to use. ( This is just to remove the smell and any residuals from clay firing. Since I use the traditional clay firing method you can see white powder in all my clay products. It is nothing but wood residuals. Also pots are porous, which triggers the high liquid absorption. So soaking it for a few hours or minutes before use leads to better retention of the juices inside.)

When not in use for long period please dried up pitcher and glass in sun for 2 days minimum. Once they are dried wrap them in cotton cloth and store in cupboard.
