Here in Nachig, municipality of Zinacantán, we women are dedicated to backstrap loom weaving because it is the technique that helps us to make our clothes; when we were children, we were very excited to learn. It was until I finished elementary school I could dedicate myself to learning and making my pieces to sell them, and that was for many years until the pandemic came, and that was over. I had to sell them at the price people offered me as I had to continue supporting my husband with household expenses.
