Sideralis
We are a family business founded in 2011 in Mineral de la Reforma, Hidalgo; we have over 30 years of experience in the textile industry, which allows us today to reinvent our manufacturing processes under a regenerative vision with the environment. In Sideralis we are dedicated to the manufacture of organic cotton textiles achieved under environmentally friendly processes; in which we avoid toxic emissions into the atmosphere with a rational consumption of water as we only use a fifth of what a non sustainable process will use. We create original designs inspired by nature and our Mexican roots, woven on colonial looms by skilled technicians under inclusive and fair trade labor conditions. Finally, each piece is hand-finished by women who are heads of household in rural areas of the state, with whom we co-design their working conditions and add artisanal value to our collections. Our intention is to rescue the ancestral value of traditional textiles; as well as to create an experience of reconnection with Creation in tones and sensations that honor its beauty. In 2015 we received an award by the Global Quality Foundation based in Dubai, for the excellence and high quality of our textiles, as well as the social and environmental commitment that characterizes us. In 2020 we received again the award in honor of our founder Leonor Avalos Montoya for her great work and legacy to transform the textile craft sector towards a future of responsible production and consumption.
