Jéerri means sun in the Curripaco language. The star of greatest importance for our planet, since without its rays life as we know it today would not be possible. For all cultures, this star of such great importance deserves a tribute, and that is why we decided to be inspired and name this design after the sun. The Jéerri earrings represent the rays of the sun, coming out from behind the ear and filling everything around them with life.
– Measurements: The earrings measure 4 cm long by 4 cm high.
– Material: The metal pieces are handcrafted in bronze and have a 24K matte gold plating. The earring post is made of hypoallergenic stainless steel. The earrings are inspired by the indigenous Curripacos of Guainía, and their Cumare weaving is done by artisans from Llévate Alguito Pues, a collective of artisans from the Moravia neighborhood in Medellín who support women in different vulnerable situations.
