In the Putumayo region, a department in southern Colombia, there are several indigenous communities. It is a region surrounded by several bodies of water, and the most important is the Putumayo River. Several towns get their food from this river, and the mojarra or Tarapi in the Inga language, is one of the fish that we find on their menu. The Tarapi earrings are a design that symbolizes this fish.

– Measurements: The earrings measure 2.2 cm long by 2.6 cm high.

– Material: The metal pieces are handmade in bronze and have a 24K matte gold plating. The cotton weaving is done by Inga-Kamentsä indigenous people from Putumayo, a department in southern Colombia.
