The Inírida River Star is the place where three important rivers meet: the Guaviare River with its brown waters, the Inírida River with its dark waters, and the Atabapo River with its reddish waters. Alexander Von Humboldt gave it the name of star because of the particular way in which these three rivers join together and deposit their waters in the Orinoco River. The Estrella Fluvial candonga is the emblematic design of this collection, demonstrating the fluidity of the rivers characteristic of this department.
– Measurements: The diameter of the candonga is 6.2 cm and it has a band width of 2 cm.
