Like all the designs in the La Tulpa reference, the fabric that surrounds these earrings is known as chumbe and is made by the women of the Inga and Kamentsä communities. The Candonga Tsinai is an example of the art that indigenous women from these communities make by mixing cotton threads of different colors on a vertical loom where they draw traditional designs that have been passed down from generation to generation.

– Measurements: The candonga measures 3.5 cm in diameter, and its total height is 5 cm. The width of the fabric is approximately 1.3 cm.

– Material: The metal pieces are handmade in bronze and have a 24K matte gold plating. The top of the earrings is made of hypoallergenic stainless steel. The cotton fabric is made by Inga-Kamentsä indigenous people from Putumayo, a department in southern Colombia.
