Artisan Story

Since I was very young, my mother and grandmother taught me how to use the backstrap loom. In my family, we did it to have clothes and not spend on that. Over time, I improved and also began to do it for my family but for some time now, other people who do not belong to the community have been interested, which is a great a help but the price often varies which sometimes, does not reflect the time and effort I put into my work.

Over time, I became better and also began to weave for my family but for some time now, other people who do not belong to my community have been interested in the products I make. That has been a help for me to be able to sell my products. The only problem is that customers here do not want to pay a fair price.
