At age ten, I started learning to weave on the backstrap loom, and with time, it became my job. When I separated from my husband, it became my primary source of livelihood to support my home and my family; all this was before the pandemic, but when it came, the sales disappeared, and I had to start selling to wholesalers who resell and pay low for our work. Still, I have to continue supporting my children and my home by buying extra things because most of the food we produce is in our homes.
